LISTEN NOW to the story of Late Victorian Residence - 16 Quondola Street

Originally purchased by former convict James Dunn, the date of this cottage’s construction is probably around the 1870s. It’s easy to imagine the street full of these modest homes, each with their own stories to tell.

The Pambula branch of the Bendigo Bank sits on the corner that was previously occupied by the Pambula post and telegraph office, constructed in about 1880 by John Behl (who else?) and provided rent free to that department until 1882. At the automatic teller machine you will find the whimsical mural Passing Through Pambula painted by local artist Ann Brosnan depicting some of Pambula’s past, present and potentially future iconic personalities.
